Recently, the first in-service gas-to-electric compressor unit of PipeChina successfully completed its 72-hour trial operation and was officially commissioned at the Quzhou Station of Zhejiang Natural Gas Pipeline Company. All equipment of the project was fully localized, with two 23,500 kVA water-cooling medium voltage drives supplied by Shanghai Nancal Electric Co., Ltd. Nancal Electric contributed to the project's energy savings and emission reductions, supporting improvements in pipeline transmission capacity and green supply assurance.
Nancal Electric successfully co-organized the 10th National Petrochemical Electrical Technology Conference 2026, where it delivered a technical presentation highlighting the core value of its high-reliability medium voltage drive solutions for energy saving, carbon reduction, and safe operation in the petrochemical industry. To date, the company has delivered over 200 water-cooling medium voltage drives. It also showcased its full-range series of air-cooling medium voltage drives covering all power ranges, emphasizing their high reliability, high energy efficiency, and flexible adaptability to support the green and low-carbon transition of the petrochemical sector.
The hydrostatic test for the reactor coolant system of Unit 3 at the Haiyang Nuclear Power Plant was successfully completed. This test represents the first key milestone in the commissioning phase for Unit 3. The cold test verified that the four reactor coolant pumps (RCPs) for Unit 3, along with their supporting localized RCP Drives supplied by Nancal Electric, operated normally, marking a successful first attempt.

Shanghai Nancal Electric Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Shandong Nuclear Power Company Ltd. (SDNP) and Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research & Design Institute (SNERDI), has been honored with the Second Prize for Science and Technology Progress by the China Nuclear Energy Association (CNEA) for the joint project "Localized R&D and Application of Reactor Coolant Pump (RCP) Drives." The project team successfully developed China's First MV Drive for the Generation III AP1000 Nuclear Power Plant Reactor Coolant Pump with fully independent intellectual property, achieving a breakthrough in core technology localization. This accomplishment is of significant importance for enhancing the safety and reliability of nuclear power. The RCP Drive has been deployed for commercial operation and was included in the National Energy Administration's List of Major Technical Equipment in the Energy Sector in 2024.

The full localization replacement of the Reactor Coolant Pump (RCP) Drives for Unit 2 of SPIC's Haiyang Nuclear Power Plant has been successfully completed, adopting a configuration of “4-operation and 1-standby”. The unit was successfully reconnected to the grid on its first attempt. These RCP Drives were jointly developed by Shandong Nuclear Power Company Ltd. (SDNP), Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research & Design Institute (SNERDI), and Shanghai Nancal Electric Co., Ltd.
