Today, the Electrical Design Professional Committee of China Petroleum & Chemical Engineering Survey and Design Association (CPCESDA) successfully convened its 2025 mid-year working conference in Nanjing. The conference was hosted by the CPCESDA Electrical Design Professional Committee and co-organized by Shanghai Nancal Electric Co., Ltd. among other supporting units.
The conference explored the leading role of electrical engineering in the petrochemical industry regarding digital-intelligent transformation, green development, and integrated control. Nancal Electric delivered a technical presentation titled High-Reliability Medium Voltage Variable Frequency Drive Technology and Applications, sharing insights on Nancal's core components and modular design, redundant architecture and intelligent control technology, as well as practical cases in the petrochemical industry.
As a member of the committee, Nancal Electric attended summaries of the committee's first-half work and future key initiatives, and reported on its participation in leading the compilation of group standard.
Nancal Electric's high-reliability large-capacity medium voltage variable frequency drives are widely used in continuous process industries such as petroleum and chemical. Their reliability is enhanced through proprietary core technologies including Main control system redundancy design, Power cell fast automatic bypass design, Torsional vibration and active suppression, Low Voltage Ride Through Technology (LVRT), etc.
Nancal's large-capacity water-cooling medium voltage variable frequency drives have cumulatively exceeded 170 sets. The total capacity of NC HVVF medium voltage variable frequency drives surpasses 6,000 MVA, achieving multiple domestic first-of-its-kind breakthroughs in chemical, long-distance natural gas pipelines, nuclear power, and other fields.
