The new R&D center is a company-owned standalone building, equipped with advanced testing facilities and a more comfortable working environment, enabling our team to focus on technological breakthroughs and product innovation. In 2025, Nancal Electric continues to deepen its expertise in the field of high-reliability, high-capacity medium voltage drives, achieving significant progress in sectors such as oil and gas, pipelines, and nuclear power, while also making new breakthroughs in industries including chemicals, energy storage, and mining.
Recently, Shanghai Nancal Electric Co., Ltd. has been officially recognized as a National Key "Little Giant" Enterprise. This recognition focuses on key industrial chains, strategic emerging industries, and future industrial sectors. High-reliable large-capacity medium voltage drives are widely used in key sectors of the national economy, including military, nuclear power, oil&gas, pipelines, chemical, energy storage, mining, and metallurgy, playing a vital role in key industrial chains.
Recently, the 2025 Xinjiang Coal Chemical Industry Development Conference was held in Changji. The conference focused on the clean and efficient utilization of coal resources, aiming to promote the diversified and low-carbon development of the coal chemical industry across Xinjiang. Nancal Electric delivered a technical presentation titled "Technology and Applications of High Reliable Medium Voltage Drives." Nancal Electric remains committed to addressing customer needs through innovative technological breakthroughs, continuously optimizing high-reliability and high-performance electric drive solutions.
The Second Hydrogen & Energy Storage New Energy Equipment Technology Conference & The Third Chinese International Turbomachinery Industrial Alliance (CITA) Frontiers Technology Conference recently convened grandly in Wuhu, Anhui. In 2025, Nancal Electric successfully delivered the world’s highest-capacity Compressed Air Energy Storage (CAES) medium voltage drive. This system drives a 300MW-class CAES unit with a one-drives-three configuration, supporting flexible switching among three busbar power supplies and enabling disturbance-free grid connection via variable-frequency soft start. It provides stable operational support for this large-scale CAES project.
Recently, Nancal Electric has secured bids for medium voltage drive projects at the Kongquehe, Turpan, and Guangzhou stations of PipeChina, contributing to the ongoing upgrade of compressor electric drive systems. Since 2009, Nancal's core team has been involved in the localization of key equipment for long-distance pipelines and was the first in China to achieve the replacement of imported medium voltage drives with domestically produced ones for 20 MW-class compressor stations on natural gas pipelines. Nancal Electric has provided highly reliable products for major national projects such as the China-Russia Eastern Gas Pipeline, the West-East Gas Pipeline, and the Sichuan-East Gas Pipeline. In the future, Nancal Electric will continue to safeguard the nation's energy arteries.
