• Second Hydrogen Energy & Energy Storage New Energy Equipment Technology Conference Successfully Held in Wuhu

  The Second Hydrogen & Energy Storage New Energy Equipment Technology Conference & The Third Chinese International Turbomachinery Industrial Alliance (CITA) Frontiers Technology Conference recently convened grandly in Wuhu, Anhui. In 2025, Nancal Electric successfully delivered the world’s highest-capacity Compressed Air Energy Storage (CAES) medium voltage drive. This system drives a 300MW-class CAES unit with a one-drives-three configuration, supporting flexible switching among three busbar power supplies and enabling disturbance-free grid connection via variable-frequency soft start. It provides stable operational support for this large-scale CAES project.

• Testing Center of Shanghai Nancal Electric Accredited by CNAS

  The Testing Center of Shanghai Nancal Electric Co., Ltd. has officially obtained laboratory accreditation certification from the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS). CNAS is the sole national accreditation body established under Chinese law for conformity assessment. Its accreditation falls under the multilateral recognition framework of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC). Test reports issued by CNAS-accredited laboratories are mutually recognized by accreditation bodies across over 100 global economies.

• Nancal Electric Co-organizes CPCESDA 2025 Mid-Year Electrical Conference

  Today, the 2025 Mid-Year Working Conference of the Electrical Design Professional Committee of China Petroleum & Chemical Engineering Survey and Design Association (CPCESDA) was successfully held in Nanjing. The conference was co-organized and supported by Shanghai Nancal Electric Co., Ltd. and other units. The conference explored the leading role of electrical engineering in the petrochemical industry regarding digital-intelligent transformation, green development, and integrated control. Nancal Electric delivered a technical presentation titled High-Reliability Medium Voltage Variable Frequency Drive Technology and Applications, and reported on the company’s participation in leading the compilation of group standard.

• Application of Nancal Medium-Voltage Drive in Redundant Retrofit of Propylene Compressors

  In a chemical gasification plant, the propylene compressor plays a crucial role with high demands for operational reliability and stability. Equipment failure can have severe impacts on the plant and downstream production. The plant originally used an imported medium-voltage drive, but its failure rate has been increasing. A significant failure, especially one that cannot be quickly repaired, could halt gasification operations, disrupt downstream production, and lead to substantial economic losses. After extensive research and technical discussions, the user selected Shanghai Nancal’s medium-voltage drive for hot standby, enabling the redundant automatic switching technology of NC HVVF to resolve issues caused by failures in the original imported drive and ensure uninterrupted production.

• Application of NC Water-Cooling Medium Voltage Drive in Aromatic Hydrocarbon Plant

  The aromatic hydrocarbon plant is one of the largest single-train crystallization process facilities in China, with a required annual operation time exceeding 8,000 hours. Nancal Electric's high-capacity water-cooling medium voltage drive stood out due to its superior performance and high-reliability technological advantages. Over two years of operation, the system achieved zero unplanned downtime, meeting all process and reliability requirements for aromatic hydrocarbon production.

• Nancal Electric Continues to Win Pipeline Project Bids, Facilitating the Upgrade of Medium Voltage Drives for the National Pipeline Network

  Recently, Nancal Electric has secured bids for medium voltage drive projects at the Kongquehe, Turpan, and Guangzhou stations of PipeChina, contributing to the ongoing upgrade of compressor electric drive systems. Since 2009, Nancal's core team has been involved in the localization of key equipment for long-distance pipelines and was the first in China to achieve the replacement of imported medium voltage drives with domestically produced ones for 20 MW-class compressor stations on natural gas pipelines. Nancal Electric has provided highly reliable products for major national projects such as the China-Russia Eastern Gas Pipeline, the West-East Gas Pipeline, and the Sichuan-East Gas Pipeline.
