Nancal Electric won the "Second Prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress"



The "Key technology and engineering application of medium-voltage high power frequency converter and power quality control system" declared by Shanghai Nancal Electric Co., Ltd., in conjunction with the West-East Transmission Branch of China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Jiaotong University won the second prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award in 2019.

The key technology of “medium voltage converter conbined with power quality control system" is the company’s independent intellectual property rights,  it is the first time in converter industry which can use one device to realize speed regulation and power quality management functions, with excellent low voltage ride through performance and perfect multi-winding transformer secondary side protection function, and can be applied to extremely cold environment.

The ultra-large-capacity medium voltage inverter using this technology has been successfully applied in fields such as natural gas long-distance pipeline compressor stations, and the maximum application capacity has reached 32MVA, which can greatly reduce equipment investment and operation and maintenance costs, and achieve good economic benefits and society benefit.
